Caribbean Producers (Jamaica) Limited has advised that its directors, Chairman A. Mark Hart and Chief Executive Officer Thomas N. Tyler, were exonerated of all charges in relation to fraud and the importation of prohibited carcasses on December 12, 2014. Both directors had pleaded Not Guilty to all of the counts with which they were charged, which related to a permit for the importation for cow head meat that had allegedly been altered, on which the Clerk of the Court ultimately offered no evidence, resulting in a full acquittal. The charges against the Company arising out of the same facts are set to be heard at trial on the 19th May 2015.
